Ek Thi Daayan is an upcoming supernatural mystery thriller movie, inspired by a short story by Mukul Sharma (Konkona Sen Sharma's father). It is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj’s assistant Kannan Iyer & jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures.
The film was earlier titled 'Daayan' but later it was changed to 'Ek Thi Daayan'.
Ek Thi Daayan star cast: The film has an impressive star cast like Huma Qureshi, Kalki Koechlin and Konkona Sen Sharma in the female leads. Emraan Hashmi plays the male lead in the film.
Ek Thi Daayna story is very interesting & gripping which revolves around a professional magician played by Emraan Hashmi and his connection with a 'Daayan' or witch.
Talented filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s wife Kalki Koechlin is known to feature in offbeat films like Dev D, Shaitan, Shanghai, That Girl in Yellow Boots and now the Indian actress of French descent is all geared to do a horror flick for the very first time opposite Emraan Hashmi.
Kalki Koechlin will also be seen in a supporting role in Ranbir Kapoor & Deepika Padukone starrer upcoming movie Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.
Buzz is that for the very first time Kalki Koechlin is doing lip-syncs for a song. She mouths the lines of 'Yaaram song' beautifully sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. In this song she is playing the guitar & singing a song for Emraan. The song also features Huma Qureshi.
'Yaaram' is a light fun song, composed by Vishal Bhardwaj and lyrics are written by Gulzar.

Ek thi Dayaan is an average movie from Kanan Iyer. The storyline of the movie was weak. The movie often becomes slow and predictable. Only a one time watch movie
