Chashme Buddoor is an upcoming Bollywood comedy film directed by David Dhawan, the ‘king of commercial films’ in Bollywood & produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. It is a remake of the 1981 film of same name. The original 'Chashme Buddoor', produced by Gul Anand & directed by Sai Paranjpye starred Farooq Shaikh, Deepti Naval, Rakesh Bedi, Ravi Baswani and Saeed Jaffrey in the lead roles.

Actor Divyendu Sharma is all set to flaunt his poetic side in CBD remake after giving a rocking comedian performance as 'Liquid' aka Nishant Agarwal in his debut film Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011).
Divyendu will reprise the role played by Rakesh Bedi, the poet while Siddharth plays the role of late actor Ravi Baswani.
