"I was going to Pakistan (earlier). But (now) I am recording a message and I am doing as much (interviews with) Pakistani media as I can to promote the film," she said.
Prior work commitments will keep actress Sonam Kapoor away from the promotions of her forthcoming film "Khoobsurat" in Pakistan, the home country of her film's co-star Fawad Afzal Khan.
Despite her absence from the film's promotions, Sonam plans to make her presence felt.
However, Sonam is very eager to visit Pakistan. She says she would love to visit the country sometime in future.
"I really, really want to go. My forefathers are from Peshawar and my mom's side of the family comes from Karachi. So there is so much of a connection...I am just a second generation Indian," Sonam said.
"Khoobsurat" will release across the border the same day as it releases in India Sep 19. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film also stars Kirron Kher, as her onscreen bubbly Punjabi mother and Ratna Pathak Shah.
Post the packed promotional schedules in India, Sonam will soon be caught up with a shooting schedule of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".
The film ('Khoobsurat') releases Sep 19 and we are in Delhi till then. Our promotion schedule is such that we are going somewhere everyday till 19 and on 20th, I start shooting for 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'," the 28-year-old said Friday.
"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is Sooraj Barjatya's film starring superstar Salman Khan in the lead.
Bollywood's style diva Sonam Kapoor says she is as clumsy as her character in her forthcoming film "Khoobsurat".
She has been tagged as a royal misfit in the posters and trailers of the film, a remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's directorial venture that starred Rekha and Rakesh Roshan in the lead roles.
While Sonam has replaced Rekha, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has stepped into Papa Roshan's shoes in the remake.
Asked how much she relates to her character, Sonam said: "I am a bit clumsy in real life too, but I feel that it's difficult being clumsy in reel life because you have to do all the wrong things on cue, and at the right time."
Sonam also feels that every girl will relate to her role in the film, when it comes out Friday
"It's the story of all those girls who don't want to change themselves because of others. Every girl will relate to my character and my journey in the film," she said.
