Why you should watch Haider? | Haider Movie Posters | Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor Pictures, Photos

For the first time Shahid Kapoor & Shraddha Kapoor would be seen romancing onscreen in the dark drama based on Shakespears famous play - "Hamlet".

Sharing with you few photos of Shraddha Kapoor & Shahid Kapoor from their upcoming Vishal Bhardwaj movie, Haider and why you should watch Haider?

Their chemistry in Haider is already being discussed by film pundits.

Whats your take on it - striking or boring?

Haider movie has been shot in beautiful locations of Kashmir. Audience can expect eye catching scenic beauty in the movie.

Very talented Tabu, would be seen essaying the character of Shahid Kapoor's step mother in Haider. Composed by Director Vishal Bhardawaj, Tabu would be seen testing her vocal chords by singing "Roshe Valle" song in the movie. Duo Vishal Tabu has worked together in Muqbool earlier.

Very gorgeous Shraddha Kapoor plays a reporter called Arshia in Haider.

Fingers crossed - will it be a hat trick of hits for Shraddha? As her earlier movies Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain garnered lots of box office love.

Looks like Director Vishal Bhardawaj has a huge inclination for Shakespear's plays because his previous two movies Muqbool and Omkara were based on  popular Shakespear plays Macbeth and Othello respectively.

And he admitted this that he loves making dark love stories on Comedy Nights with Kapil Sharma TV show.

Haider star cast includes - Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Tabu, Kay Kay Menon, Irrfan Khan, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Ashish Vidyarthi, Aamir Bashir and others.

As its evident from Haider movie posters, this love revenge saga releases on Thursday, 2nd October 2014 and has a 162 minutes run time.

What do you think - will Haider be
Super Hit
Hit
Average
Flop?

Made with a small budget of approx. ₹ 37 crores, we think it would be fairly easy for Haider to recover its cost.

Bang Bang Vs Haider: What’s your pick Hrithik Katrina or Shahid Shraddha?

One of the biggest weekends of the year, starting Oct 2, will see the release of two films - Hrithik Roshan's “Bang Bang!” and Shahid Kapoor's “Haider”, which are as different as chalk and cheese in terms of theme, budget, cast, and sensibilities. Hence, trade experts opine that it's “unfair” to compare the two.

“It's not a clash of the titans at all,” trade analyst Komal Nahta told IANS. “It is unfair to compare them...”

Cinematically speaking, it's true!

Not only the tone and tenor of the two films are diverse, their directors are poles apart in their sensibilities and approach while narrating a story.

In comparison to director Sidharth Anand's massy entertainers like “Salaam Namaste” and “Bachna Ae Haseeno”, Vishal Bhardwaj, known for his penchant for literature, especially his fascination for Shakespeare's classics, has scored big for convincingly adapting Macbeth as “Maqbool”, Othello as “Omkara” and now he has adapted Hamlet as “Haider”.

Bhardwaj too feels that the two films are put in the same bracket only because they are releasing on the same day, otherwise there is not a single common factor between them.

“'Bang Bang!' is said to be a Rs.180 crore film, ours is a Rs.24 crore film. Of course, they would need more money to break even, we would need lesser,” Bhardwaj told IANS.

“It's a very big weekend and it can accommodate two films and that's why we thought of releasing with 'Bang Bang!',” he added.

Shot in Abu Dhabi and India, fast-paced “Bang Bang!”, which has elements like car chase and shoot-outs, promises edge of the seat excitement, while “Haider”, set in the 1990s of Kashmir, is grim and gritty as it focuses on the human tragedy in the region.

When it comes to the lead actors of the two films, Hrithik's and Shahid's standing is also different in Bollywood boulevard.

Dismissing the comparisons, Rajesh Thadani said: “Hrithik is altogether in a different league, so let's not compare them. Their budgets and costing are also different, so there is no space for comparison. Also, 'Bang Bang!' will have more screens compared to 'Haider', so let's not compare,” he added.

If Bhardwaj has roped in Irrfan Khan and Tabu, to make the drama more intense...

Anand relies on the likes of Danny Denzongpa and Javed Jaffrey to add entertaining elements.

Bollywood's reigning queen Katrina Kaif is the female lead in "Bang Bang" and rising star Shraddha Kapoor will be seen with Shahid in "Haider".

Set for the Thursday release, the two films with diverse themes will give a healthy choice to the viewers to make the best of their holiday.

Catty Twitter Fights of Bollywood - When Celebrities Stooped to All Time Lows!

Twitter is supposed to be a social platform, but trust Bollywood blokes to turn it into a battle ground! We bring you the juiciest cat-fights and star-bashing to chew on…

This one ain’t funny! Kamaal R Khan posted snide comments about comedian Kapil Sharma being launched in a Yash Raj film which the latter took objection to!

Kamaal had posted, "When YRF asked @NargisFakhri to do film with @KapilSharmaK9 She was laughing loudly n said sorry I don't have dates." he did not stop here rather went on, "SMS of Nargis- I was shocked to hear offer of YRF to do film with comedian Kapil Sharma. I think they forgot tat I was launched with Ranbir."

"dnt knw who is this @kamaal khan...Par bahaut jaldi iska munh aur ghar tootne wala hai :) cnt help it :) punjabi lood :)

By this time the war of words had already started & KRK replied, "Kapil Bhai I was really scared. Believe Me bhai I am shivering till now. Utni Piya Kar jitni control Kar sakta hai. "

I never ever attack anybody. But yes I always defend myself. Krishna Ji said ki Zulm karna Bhi Gunah Hai n Zulm Sahna Bhi.

If somebody attacks me n threaten me 2break my teeth n house then how do you ppl expect me to keep quiet? I am not here to become a victim.

It went down to personal bashing and verbal duels, and finally KRK got “Babaji ka thullu!”

K Jo and Ram Gopal Verma got into a sarcastic duel poking fun at each other’s choice of film titles, targeting his 2012 release Student of The Year. "If someone takes off from Karan johar's Student of the year and makes Teacher of the year it will become the Disaster of the year," RGV posted.

K Jo had the next word: "@RGVzoomin ....Disaster of the year is your territory Ramu...no one can ever replace the comfortable place you have made for yourself there."

RGV quickly responded, "@karanjohar hey karan my tweet was in a series I put on teachers day nd that tweet was about some1 taking off from u meaning it a compliment."

Earlier too RGV had commented about Karan Johar's movies like - Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and his strong desire to make "My Name is Raavan."

Take the cat fight between Sonam Kapoor and Suchitra Krishnamurthy. The latter referred to Gul Panag as a “cleavage flasher”  - “Kirron Kher win over Gul Panag. India needs strong women & mothers not cleavage flashers.”

To which Sonam reacted - “I cannot believe a woman tweeted that. It’s disgusting. Women are the biggest enemies of women.”

Suchitra cattily retorted “if you ever aspire to political office remember to put your clothes back on!”

Later Suchitra Tweeted: “ok now I’ve had it with that last tweet-2 late 2 take it back. Not a personal attack on Gul but a general obsrvatn on political demeanor. my apologies to @GulPanag – but i stand by my statement that a young woman seen in a sexual context will not be taken seriously otherwise (sic).”

Hot-blooded Khans (SRK and Salman Khan) took a fan’s Twitter comment to another level! The fan had commented on Salman’s market value being down since he had hosted a reality show. Shah Rukh Khan used this to fan the fire and his personal animosity with Salman…

Tweets about Kingfisher Airlines between Ayesha Takia and Siddharth Mallya really “took off!”

"Kingfisher staff Vinay Podwal just threatened and yelled at my sister saying he can throw anyone out and TORE her boarding pass! This disgustingly behaved Kingfisher staff called Vinay podwal just tore my sister's boarding pass and misbehaved with her. How can this happen? How dare this Vinay Podwal misbehave with a passenger and tear her boarding pass? It could be any one of u think about it (sic)," Ayesha Tweeted

The Mallaya heir was unaware of the star’s status and his comments crash-landed Ayesha.

"Been getting tweets about Ayesha Takia & KFA. Not too sure who she is, an actor of some sorts?? But it seems something has upset her," Sidhartha Mallya tweeted.

"Don't know why Ayesha Takia is tweeting so much when she wasn't even present. There are always two sides to a story. Pipe down love," he went on.

The fight went on when later on Mallya Junior Tweeted, ""Wow, lots of tweets this am! Didn't anyone sleep?!..am not gonna comment on this topic anymore peeps..got bored. sorry to disappoint haha!!"

Later Papa Vijay Mallya stepped in & assured the lady of looking into the matter himself.

Sonam saw red when Shobha De said she “lacked oomph” in her recent film, "I Hate Luv Storys" (2010). The author did a blog post title "I Hate Dumb Storys……" -  What an absolute waste casting Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor in this utterly dull, total dud of a movie which is more a wonky tribute to Karan Johar’s earlier films, songs and screen pairings.

Sonam Kapoor: "RT @punitdmalhotra: Guys pls don't take Shobha De seriuosly. She's a fossil who's getting no action and going through menopause. So just for her..."

The firebrand went on to tweet about the senior columnist / author taking digs at her menopausal status and calling her a fossil!

But later on Sonam Kapoor had to apologise when De commented on her "good breeding" and "decent upbringing".

Social Networking site, Twitter is a pretty interesting space but one needs to stay in his / her limits and should be prepared to take criticism sportingly.

Sonam Kapoor gets talking about Khoobsurat movie promotions in Pakistan, Fawad and more....

"I was going to Pakistan (earlier). But (now) I am recording a message and I am doing as much (interviews with) Pakistani media as I can to promote the film," she said.

Prior work commitments will keep actress Sonam Kapoor away from the promotions of her forthcoming film "Khoobsurat" in Pakistan, the home country of her film's co-star Fawad Afzal Khan.

Despite her absence from the film's promotions, Sonam plans to make her presence felt.

However, Sonam is very eager to visit Pakistan. She says she would love to visit the country sometime in future.

"I really, really want to go. My forefathers are from Peshawar and my mom's side of the family comes from Karachi. So there is so much of a connection...I am just a second generation Indian," Sonam said.

"Khoobsurat" will release across the border the same day as it releases in India Sep 19. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film also stars Kirron Kher, as her onscreen bubbly Punjabi mother and Ratna Pathak Shah.

Post the packed promotional schedules in India, Sonam will soon be caught up with a shooting schedule of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".

The film ('Khoobsurat') releases Sep 19 and we are in Delhi till then. Our promotion schedule is such that we are going somewhere everyday till 19 and on 20th, I start shooting for 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'," the 28-year-old said Friday.

"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is Sooraj Barjatya's film starring superstar Salman Khan in the lead.

Bollywood's style diva Sonam Kapoor says she is as clumsy as her character in her forthcoming film "Khoobsurat".

She has been tagged as a royal misfit in the posters and trailers of the film, a remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's directorial venture that starred Rekha and Rakesh Roshan in the lead roles.

While Sonam has replaced Rekha, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has stepped into Papa Roshan's shoes in the remake.

Asked how much she relates to her character, Sonam said: "I am a bit clumsy in real life too, but I feel that it's difficult being clumsy in reel life because you have to do all the wrong things on cue, and at the right time."

Sonam also feels that every girl will relate to her role in the film, when it comes out Friday

"It's the story of all those girls who don't want to change themselves because of others. Every girl will relate to my character and my journey in the film," she said.

;

"Khoobsurat" has been directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Sonam's sister Rhea.

Are you planning to watch "Khoobsurat" this weekend? Do you like Sonam & Fawad's onscreen chemistry in the movie promos? Her "Khoosurat" print on print on print dressing style in already Buzz of town. Many critics have appreciated it!
